Since Ethos Construction was founded in the 1990s, joinery has been one of our strengths and taps directly into our passion for craftsmanship. In 2018, our joinery division was established as a separate business – St James Interiors – to cater for its growing roster of direct clients.
St James Interiors creates joinery for all our projects and also directly for architects, interior designers, property owners and other specifiers.
Workshop
A team of highly skilled and experienced craftspeople form the heart of St James Interiors. Working from our workshop in North London, our designers and joiners create bespoke architectural joinery and furniture for private residences, hotels, private jets and luxury yachts.
We continually invest in new manufacturing technology and training in traditional skills to ensure we continue to produce exquisitely crafted and original work for our projects.
Craftsmanship
We are experienced in working in a wide variety of materials and timbers. Quality, detail and imagination are at the heart of every piece.
We are skilled at all types of joinery:
Architectural – including windows, staircases, paneling, architectural internal supporting joinery, doors and architraves.
Furniture – stand-alone and fully fitted furniture, including built-in furniture such as libraries, dressing rooms, storage, cupboards and wine cellars.
Kitchens – free-standing or built-in, and fully installed.
Bathrooms – free-standing or built-in, and fully installed.
Installation
Our installation teams are proactive, experienced and involved from the beginning of the design process. Access routes, widths of entryways, ceiling heights and other key measurements are confirmed with the design and construction teams, to confirm if joinery can built in one piece in our workshops or if they require on site assembly.
Deliveries are undertaken by our installation team working directly with our site and project managers.
